The Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA) regulate the MOT programme, which ensures that all vehicles over three years old meet minimum road safety and environmental standards. Some pointers and our procedures are below.
- All UK registered cars three years old or more require a valid MOT certificate by law.
- Vehicles may be submitted for an MOT up to 28 days before the test is due.
- MOT's take approximately 1 hour to complete, we have a waiting car for you to use.
- If your vehicle fails, we will notify you of all necessary repairs, together with the cost to correct them.
- Road Tax cannot be renewed without a current MOT.

- MOT is by appointment and you can use the form below to enquire.
- We can carry out Class IV, V, VII MOT Tests on both petrol and diesel cars and small to medium sized commercial vehicles up to 3.5. tons and are happy to provide advice on the MOT testing criteria and/or discuss any issues that arise from the results of the MOT Test. The last MOT of the day is at 5pm Monday – Friday.
